John Blennerhassett was born on 15 June 1715.1 He was the son of Colonel John Blennerhassett and Jane Denny.1 He married, firstly, Anne Crosbie, daughter of Colonel William Crosbie and Isabella Smyth, on 21 February 1736.1 He married, secondly, Frances Herbert, daughter of Edward Herbert, on 10 April 1753.2 He died in 1763.1
He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1733.1 From 21 February 1736, his married name became Crosbie. He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kerry in 1740.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kerry between 1751 and 1760.1 He lived at Ballyseedy, County Kerry, Ireland.3
