     Henry Ashley Travers Cummins was born on 25 January 1847.1 He was the son of Nicholas Cummins and Julia Anne Travers.2 He married Frances Wathan Hill Price, daughter of Commander Hugh Price, in 1876.1 He died on 10 December 1926 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was educated at Eastman's School.1 He was Paymaster of Contingencies, Admiralty between 1890 and 1915.1 Between 1890 and 1915 Admiralty.1 He gained the rank of Paymaster Rear-Admiral.1 He was Paymaster-in-Chief in 1914.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1
