     James Dermot Daly was born on 22 December 1840.1 He was the son of James Peter Daly and Margaret Dolphin.2,1 He married Christina Gertrude O'Kelly, daughter of Count Cornelius Joseph O'Kelly, on 20 November 1865.1 He died on 12 April 1910 at age 69.1
     James Dermot Daly held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Galway.1 He lived at Castle Daly, County Galway, Ireland.1
