     Alice Hornby was born on 9 June 1746 at Kirkham, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Hugh Hornby and Margaret Hankinson.1 She was baptised on 30 June 1746 at Kirkham, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 She married Richard Birley, son of John Birley, on 15 December 1772 at Kirkham, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 She died on 19 April 1812 at age 65 at Blackburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 She was buried after 19 April 1812 at Blackburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1
     From 15 December 1772, her married name became Birley.1
