     Margaret Mary Gavan Duffy was born in 1879.1 She was the daughter of John Gavan Duffy and Margaret Callan.2 She married Hon. Sir Hayden Erskine Starke, son of Anthony George Hayden Starke, in 1909.1 She died in 1959.1
     From 1909, her married name became Starke.

     Hon. Sir Hayden Erskine Starke was the son of Anthony George Hayden Starke.2 He married Margaret Mary Gavan Duffy, daughter of John Gavan Duffy and Margaret Callan, in 1909.1 He died on 14 May 1958.1
     He lived at Myoora, Irving Road, Toorak, Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaG.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He held the office of Judge of the High Court of Australia between 1920 and 1950.1

     He was educated at St. Ignatius, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He was educated at Xavier College, Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Melbourne University, Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaG.1 He was admitted to Victorian Bar in 1908.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Australian Imperial Forces Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria between 1933 and 1961.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1952.1
