     Gerald Fitzgerald was the son of Thomas FitzGerald, 22nd Knight of Glin and Mary Bateman.2,1 He married Catherine Yielding, daughter of Richard Yielding.1 He died on 28 March 1806,.1
     Gerald Fitzgerald was a United Irishman.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1796 in the service of the 11th Foot, when he was dismissed from the service.1 He was leader of the Limerick Insurgents in the Emmet Uprising in 1803.1 In 1803 he was reinstated in the Army.1 He was author of a pamphlet on his dismissal and subsequent reinstatement.1 He lived at Ballydonoghue, County Limerick, Ireland.1

     Catherine Yielding was the daughter of Richard Yielding.2 She married Gerald Fitzgerald, son of Thomas FitzGerald, 22nd Knight of Glin and Mary Bateman.1 She died on 19 August 1807.1
     Catherine Yielding lived at Cloghers, County Kerry, Ireland.1 Her married name became Fitzgerald.

     Thomas Fitzgerald was born in 1800.1 He was the son of Gerald Fitzgerald and Catherine Yielding.2 He married Anne Harte, daughter of William Johnson Harte.1 He died in 1860, without issue.1
     Thomas Fitzgerald graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1820 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.).1
