     Mathew Forde was the son of Nicholas Forde and Catherine White.2 He married Elinor Macartan in 1621.1,3 He died in March 1653, without surviving issue.1
     He was Clerk of Peace and Assize.1 He was Clerk of Nisi Prius before the Commissioners of Ulster.1 He was Clerk of Crown and Peace.1 He purchased Coolgreany estate, County Wexford and Seaforde estate, County Down before July 1637.1 On 26 July 1637 his title to both estates was confirmed by Patent from King Charles I.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1642.1,3 He lived at Coolgreany, County Wexford, IrelandG.1

     From 14 May 1873, her married name became Pellew.1
