     Wesley Poythress Masterson was born on 27 September 1797.1 He was the son of Richard Masterson and Sarah Stone.1 He married Catherine C. Abbett, daughter of Dennis Abbett and Mary (?), on 12 March 1816.1 He died on 6 March 1876 at age 78 at Newcastle, Henry County, Kentucky, U.S.A..1
     He had seven children.1
