Colonel Arthur Grenville Brodrick was born on 2 June 1868. He was the son of William Brodrick, 8th Viscount Midleton and Hon. Augusta Mary Fremantle. He married Lesley Venitia Clough-Taylor, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward Harrison Clough-Taylor and Lady Elisabeth Campbell, on 29 April 1912. He died on 18 September 1934 at age 66.
