     Eric Chenevix Trench was born on 17 December 1892.1 He was the son of Richard Bayley Chenevix Trench and Gwendoline Heron-Maxwell.1 He married, firstly, Helen Frances Beckwith, daughter of Reverend Ernest Geroge Beckwith and Charlotte Evelyn Stewart, on 6 July 1929.1 He married, secondly, Theano Schilizzi, daughter of Emmanuel Schilizzi, on 7 September 1967.1 He died on 31 August 1971 at age 78, without issue.1
     Eric Chenevix Trench was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Fusiliers and Royal Army Service Corps.1
