     James Durie of Netherton and Craigluscar was born in 1583.1 He was the son of George Durie of Craigluscar and Elizabeth Echline of Pitadro.2 He married Christian Durie, daughter of Robert Durie of Grange and Christian Rutherford, in 1633.1 He died in 1682 at Craigluscar, Scotland.1 He was buried at Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.1
