     Griffith Rice was born in 1664.1 He was the son of Walter Rice and Elizabeth Deere.2 He married Eliza Morgan, daughter of John Morgan.1 He married Catherine Hoby on 28 August 1690.1 He died on 27 September 1729.1
     Griffith Rice lived Newton.1 He was also known as Griffith Rice.1 He was High Sheriff Carmarths , Member of Parliament (M.P.) Carmarths 1701–10 in 1694.1
