     Major Harry Talbot Rice was born on 27 July 1889.1 He was the son of Henry Charles Talbot Rice and Cecil Mary Lloyd.2 He married Hon. Blanche Marion Devereux, daughter of Robert Charles Devereux, 17th Viscount Hereford and Ethel Mildred Shaw, on 12 July 1927.1 He died on 29 April 1948 at age 58.1
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the Welsh Guards.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1
