     Catharina-Maria Erzherzogin von Österreich was born on 14 September 1972 at Weissenburg, Bayern, Germany.1 She is the daughter of Rudolf Syringus Erzherzog von Österreich and Anna Gabriele Prinzessin von Wrede.1 She married Conte Massimiliano Secco d'Aragona, son of Conte Andrea Secco d'Aragona and Giusy Muchetti, on 9 December 1998 at Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Belgium, in a civil marriage.2 Catharina-Maria and Massimiliano were remarried in a religious ceremony on 9 January 1999 at Ghent, Belgium.2
     Catharina-Maria Erzherzogin von Österreich was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. She was baptised with the name of Catherina Maria Johanna Zita Sophie Caspara.1 She gained the title of Erzherzogin von Österreich. From 9 December 1998, her married name became Secco d'Aragona.2
