     Mary Jane Preston was the daughter of John Preston.2 She married Sir Knowles Edge, son of William Edge and Anne Byron Knowles, on 7 April 1880.1 She died in October 1932.1
     From 7 April 1880, her married name became Edge.

     Air Chief Marshal Sir Wilfrid Rhodes Freeman, 1st Bt. was born on 18 July 1888.1 He was the son of William Robert Freeman and Anne Farquhar Carr Dunn.3 He married, firstly, Gladys Mews, daughter of John Mews, on 5 June 1915.1 He and Gladys Mews were divorced in 1935.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Richmond, daughter of Ernest Tatham Richmond, on 17 April 1935.3 He died on 15 May 1953 at age 64.3
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet-Major in the Manchester Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was Deputy Director of Operations and Intelligence, Air Ministry in 1927.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1932.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1937.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1942.1 He was chief executive of the Ministry of Aircraft Production between 1942 and 1945.1 He gained the rank of Air Chief Marshal in the Royal Air Force.1 He was created 1st Baronet Freeman, of Murtle, co. Aberdeen [U.K.] on 4 July 1945.1

     John Harold Edge was born on 31 July 1888.1 He was the son of Sir Knowles Edge and Mary Jane Preston.2 He married Elizabeth Tudor Brown, daughter of William Brown, on 4 December 1913.1 He and Elizabeth Tudor Brown were divorced.3 He married Daisy Farrell, daughter of Reginald Farrell, in 1931 at Bangalore, India.3 He died on 18 October 1931 at age 43 at Coonoor, IndiaG.1 He was also reported to have died on 12 October 1932.3
     He lived at Ivy House, West Beach, Lytham, Lancashire, EnglandG.1

     From 9 August 1904, her married name became Edge. She held the office of Member of the Lytham Borough Council in 1929.1 She held the office of Mayor of Lytham in 1937.1 She held the office of Mayor of Lytham St. Annes in 1937.1

     Mary Margaret Edge also went by the nick-name of Peggy.1 From 1 June 1940, her married name became Fletcher. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Mid-Shropshire in 1961.1
