     He was educated at St. Peter's School, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He graduated from Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG, in 1903 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He graduated from Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG, in 1903 with a Bachelor of Surgery (Ch.B.)1 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Bengal Nagpur Railway Battalion, Auxiliary Force India.1 He was Superintendent of Transportation (Traffic), Bengal Nagpur Railway.1

     She was awarded the Kaisar-i-Hind Medal silver.1 From 1912, her married name became Pelly.
