     Alois Graf von Meran was born on 4 April 1907 at Stuhlweissenburg.1 He was the son of Franz Peter Johann Graf von Meran and Marie Johanna Prinzessin von und zu Liechtenstein.1 He married Elisabeth Baronin von Tinti, daughter of Friedrich Baron von Tinti and Paula Balthasar, on 13 February 1942 at Pöchlarn, Austria.1 He died in 1960 at Siershahm, Germany.
     Alois Graf von Meran was baptised with the name of Alois Franz Joseph Johann Maria Ignatius.1
