     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Berkshire Regiment.¹

     Godfrey White FitzHerbert was born on 16 June 1864.¹ He was the son of John Knight FitzHerbert and Arabella Penelope White.² He married Anna Rachel Pile, daughter of Henry Alleyne Pile, on 25 June 1900.¹ He died on 8 August 1939 at age 75.¹
