     Patrick Persse was the son of William Persse and Alice Fox.1 He married, firstly, Mary ffrench, daughter of Patrick ffrench and Jane Digby, on 2 November 1747.1 He married, secondly, Mary Barrett in November 1766 at County Galway, Ireland.2 A settlement for the marriage between him and Mary ffrench was made on 3 May 1747 at County Galway, Ireland.1 He died circa 1801 at Tynagh, County Galway, Ireland.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Galway in 1762.1 He lived at Spring Garden, County Galway, Ireland.1 He lived at Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland.1
