     Gilchrist, 4th Earl of Angus was born before 1187.2 He was the son of Gillbride, 2nd Earl of Angus.2 He married Margaret of Huntingdon, daughter of Henry of Huntingdon, Earl of Huntingdon and Ada de Warenne, after 1200. He died between 1207 and 1211.1
     He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl of Angus [S., c. 1115] before 1198.2 In 1198 he was a great benefactor to the Arbroath Abbey.1
