     Major Duncan Forbes Gordon was the son of Alexander Gordon of Newton.2 He married Elizabeth Alexandrina Leith, daughter of Rear-Admiral John James Leith and Margaret Forbes, on 16 November 1880.1 He died on 30 September 1920.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 92nd Highlanders.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1
