     John Leith of Leith Hall was the son of John Leith of Leith Hall and Mary Hay.2 He married Harriot Steuart, daughter of Alexander Steuart of Auchluncart.1 He died in 1763.1
     He added the lands of Lair and Adlair to his estates.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir James Leith was the son of John Leith of Leith Hall and Harriot Steuart.3 He married Lady Augusta Forbes, daughter of George Forbes, 5th Earl of Granard and Lady Georgiana Augusta Berkeley, on 14 February 1798.3 He died on 16 October 1816.1
     He was awarded the Grand Cordon, Order of Merit of France.1 He was Commander of the Forces of the Windward and Leeward Islands.1 He held the office of Governor of Barbados.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1

     Lt.-Col. Sir Andrew Leith-Hay of Rannes and Leith Hall was born on 17 February 1785.1 He was the son of General Alexander Leith-Hay of Rannes and Mary Forbes.2 He married Mary Margaret Clark, daughter of William Clark, in 1816.1 He died on 13 October 1862 at age 77.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Elgin between 1833 and 1838.1 He held the office of Governor of Bermuda between 1838 and 1841.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Elgin between 1841 and 1847.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1
