     George Forbes of Bellabeg was born on 10 January 1668.1 He was the son of William Forbes, 5th of Newe and Helen Forbes.2 He married, firstly, Isabel Meldrum, daughter of William Meldrum of Hatton.1 He married, secondly, Isabel Forbes, daughter of William Forbes of Asloun.1 He died in June 1745 at age 77.1
