     Sir Ian Primrose Liston Foulis of Colinton, 13th Bt. was born on 9 August 1937.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. James Alastair Liston Foulis and Kathleen Moran.2
     He was educated at Stoneyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, England.1 He graduated from Cannington Farm Institute, Somerset, England, with a Diploma of Agriculture.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1957 and 1959 in the service of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders.1 He was a language tutor between 1959 and 1961 at Madrid, Spain.1 In 1961 succeeded cousin , dropped LISTON as surname 1988.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Baronet Foulis, of Colinton [N.S., 1634] on 9 October 1961.3 He was a bank executive between 1962 and 1966.1 In 1988 his name was legally changed to Ian Primrose Foulis.1 He lived in 2003 at Edificio Cuzco, Solidad 11, Portal 5–2–C, San Agustin de Guadalix, Madrid, Spain.1
