     Lt.-Col. John Reeve was born on 1 June 1822.2 He was the son of General John Reeve and Lady Susan Sherard.2 He married Frances Wilhelmina Welby, daughter of Sir Glynne Earle Welby-Gregory, 3rd Bt. and Frances Cholmeley, on 18 August 1857.1 He died on 2 January 1897 at age 74.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.2 He lived at Leadenham House, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.2
