     Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Clifton.² He married, secondly, Mary Mostyn, daughter of unknown Mostyn.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Preston, daughter of Sir John Preston, 1st Bt., in 1662.¹ He died circa April 1702.¹ He was buried on 16 April 1702.¹
     He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa April 1681.¹

     Frances Gerard is the daughter of Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Clifton.² She married Francis Howard, son of Sir Francis Howard and Mary Widdrington.¹
