     Sir William Gerard, 5th Bt. was baptised on 22 June 1662.1 He was the son of Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt. and Anne Preston.2 He married Mary Cansfield, daughter of John Cansfield.1 He died circa May 1721.1 He was buried on 29 May 1721.1
     He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa April 1702.1

     Sir William Gerard, 6th Bt. was born on 27 December 1697.1 He was the son of Sir William Gerard, 5th Bt. and Mary Cansfield.2 He married Elizabeth Clifton, daughter of Thomas Clifton, in 1720.1 He died on 9 December 1732 at age 34.1
     He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa May 1721.1
