     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Calne in 1747.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the County Militia.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Maidstone in 1761.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Bedwyn in 1768.1

     Lady Juliana Colyear was born circa 1736.2 She was the daughter of Charles Colyear, 2nd Earl of Portmore and Juliana Hele.3 She married Colonel Henry Dawkins, son of Henry Dawkins and Elizabeth Pennant, on 24 November 1759.1 She died on 29 April 1821 at Upper Brook Street, London, England.1,2
     From 24 November 1759, her married name became Dawkins.1
