     General Alexander Ross was born in 1742.2 He was the son of unknown Ross of Auchlossin.2 He married Barbara Evelyn Isabella Gunning, daughter of Sir Robert Gunning, 1st Bt. and Anne Sutton, on 15 October 1795.1,2 He died on 20 November 1827 at London, England.2
     He gained the rank of Ensign in February 1760 in the 50th Regiment.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 18 September 1765 in the 14th Regiment of Foot.2 He gained the rank of Captain on 30 May 1775.2 He fought in the American War of Independence.2 He gained the rank of Major on 25 October 1780 in the 45th Regiment of Foot.2 He gained the rank of Colonel on 12 October 1793.2 He held the office of Surveyor-General of the Ordnance in 1795.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1795.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General on 29 April 1802.2 He gained the rank of General on 1 January 1812.2

     Clinton George Augustus Dawkins was born on 28 December 1808.3,4 He was the son of Henry Dawkins and Augusta Clinton.3 He married Marianne Jane Robarts, daughter of James Robarts, on 21 May 1850.3,4 He died on 13 October 1871 at age 62.3,4
     He was Consul-General to Vienna.1

     Sybil Viola Ashton was the daughter of H. P. Ashton.1 She married Colonel George Hamilton Gunning, son of Major Charles George Gunning and Emma Cameron Logan, in 1926.1 She died in 1938.1
