     Sir Thomas de Macclesfield lived at Maelor Saesneg, Flintshire, Wales.1 He was an officer under King Edward I.1 He was living in 1294.1 Before 1300 he had a grant of waste land in Hanmer.1

Jenkin Hanmer1

     Jenkin Hanmer was the son of Sir David Hanmer and Angharad verch Llewelyn.2 He married, firstly, Margaret verch Dafydd, daughter of Dafydd ap Bleddyn 'Fychan'.1 He married, secondly, Efa verch Dafydd, daughter of Dafydd ap Gronwy.2 He died after 1 October 1427.2
     He acquired lands in Englefield, Flintshire through his first wife.1 He negotiated a treaty with King Charles VI of France on behalf of his brother-in-law, Owen Glendower.1 In 1411 he was pardoned by King Henry IV.1
