     Clement Delves Hill was born on 3 January 1808.¹ He was the son of Colonel John Hill and Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish.² He married Harriet Mytton, daughter of John Mytton, on 26 June 1841.¹ He died in 1883.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Horse Guards.¹
