Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen was born on 17 September 1685 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was the son of John Allen, 1st Viscount Allen and Mary FitzGerald.1 He married Margaret du Pass, daughter of Samuel du Pass and Dorothy Ellis, on 18 November 1707 at Westminster, London, England.1 He died on 5 December 1742 at age 57 at Stillorgan, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was buried on 8 December 1742.1 His will was probated in April 1743.1

Margaret du Pass was born before 1692 at St. James's Rectory, Piccadilly, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Samuel du Pass and Dorothy Ellis.1 She married Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen, son of John Allen, 1st Viscount Allen and Mary FitzGerald, on 18 November 1707 at Westminster, London, England.1 She died on 4 March 1758 at Duke Street, Piccadilly, London, England.1 She was buried on 9 March 1758 at Piccadilly, London, England.1 Her will (dated 20 July 1754 and 9 December 1755) was probated on 24 November 1758.1
From 18 November 1707, her married name became Allen.1 As a result of her marriage, Margaret du Pass was styled as Viscountess Allen on 8 November 1726.

John Allen, 3rd Viscount Allen was born before 1708.1 He was the son of Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen and Margaret du Pass.1 He died on 25 May 1745, from a wound received in an encounter with one of the Guards at Dublin whom he shot, unmarried.1
