     Alexander Irvine, 7th of Drum was the son of Sir Alexander Irvine, 6th of Drum and Janet Keith.1,2 He married Janet Allardyce, daughter of John Allardyce of Allardyce and Catherine Arbuthnot, on 12 June 1493.2,3 He died after 12 February 1553/54.2
     On 10 September 1499 he had a charter of lands of Forglen from his father.2 In 1552 he resigned Drum and all his lands to the Crown in for regrant in favour of his grandson 12 February 1553/4.2

     Sir Alexander Irvine, 6th of Drum was the son of Alexander Irvine, 5th of Drum and Elizabeth Forbes.1,2 He married Janet Keith, daughter of Sir Gilbert Keith, 3rd of Inverugie, 1st of Ludquhairn and unknown wife Ogston of Ludquhairn, before 8 July 1475.2 He died before 4 December 1527.1
     In 1475 he received Lonmay and Cairness from his father.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeen in 1492.2 On 26 February 1506 he had a charter for Drum from King James IV.2

     Alexander Irvine, 5th of Drum was the son of Alexander Irvine of Drum, younger and unknown daughter Abernethy.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Forbes, daughter of Alexander Forbes, 1st Lord Forbes and Lady Elizabeth Douglas.2 He married, secondly, unknown daughter Lindsay.2 He died in December 1493.2
     On 3 November 1457 he was served heir to his grandfather.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeenshire in 1471.2 As Sheriff of Aberdeenshire he attacked the house of Sir Walter Lindsay of Bewfort with a force of men, for which offence, by judgment of the Lords of the Council, he was dismissed from that office and ordered to suffer imprisonment, though this was not necessarily effected.2
