     Major Patrick Grant Matheson was the son of Colin Matheson, 3rd of Bennetsfield and Grace Grant.2 He married Hannah Mills Butler Orde, daughter of James Major Orde, at IndiaG.1 He died on 15 January 1835 at Delhi, IndiaG.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He had three daughters, of whom two married and had issue.1

Colonel James Brooks Young Matheson1

     Colonel James Brooks Young Matheson was the son of Major Patrick Grant Matheson and Hannah Mills Butler Orde.2 He married Louisa Keane, daughter of Dr. unknown Keane, in 1857.1 He died in 1886.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He held the position of Chief of the Clan Matheson from in 1835.1 He had two elder sons (who died in India young) and a daughter.1

     Thomas Theophilus Metcalf Matheson was the son of Major Patrick Grant Matheson and Hannah Mills Butler Orde.2 He died at IndiaG, without issue, aged 20.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 39th Regiment.1
