Rt. Rev. Hon. Henry Ryder was born on 21 July 1777. He was the son of Nathaniel Ryder, 1st Baron Harrowby and Elizabeth Terrick. He married Sophia Phillipps, daughter of Thomas March Phillipps, on 15 December 1802. He died on 31 March 1836 at age 58.

Sophia Phillipps was the daughter of Thomas March Phillipps. She married Rt. Rev. Hon. Henry Ryder, son of Nathaniel Ryder, 1st Baron Harrowby and Elizabeth Terrick, on 15 December 1802. She died on 30 August 1862.
