     Charles Dudley Ryder was born in 1806.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Henry Ryder and Sophia March Phillipps.1 He died on 28 May 1825, drowned when a boat from H.M.S. Naiad capsized in the mouth of the Tiber.1 He was buried at Non-Catholic Cemetery, Rome, Italy.1
     Charles Dudley Ryder gained the rank of Midshipman in the service of the Royal Navy.1
