     Captain Richard Oliver-Bellasis was born on 4 December 1904.1 He was the son of Captain Richard John Erskine Oliver-Bellasis and Gwendoline Mary Woollcombe-Adams.1 He married Lorna Ursula Richardson, daughter of Herbert Lindsey Richardson, on 8 September 1928.1 He died on 24 October 1964 at age 59.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1946.1 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to King George VI in 1950.1 He retired from the military in 1951, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Navy.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1951.1
