     Captain Algernon John Hotham was born on 28 April 1863.1 He was the son of Reverend Frederick Harry Hotham and Eleanor Gosling.2 He married Grace Adeline Rous de Horsey, daughter of Admiral Sir Algernon de Horsey, on 12 September 1906.1 He died on 10 February 1913 at age 49.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     Grace Adeline Rous de Horsey was the daughter of Admiral Sir Algernon de Horsey.2 She married Captain Algernon John Hotham, son of Reverend Frederick Harry Hotham and Eleanor Gosling, on 12 September 1906.1 She died on 6 October 1963.1
     From 12 September 1906, her married name became Hotham.
