     William Huntar of Arnele Huntar died circa 1454.1
     In 1447 he was infeft of Arnele Huntar.1 He was hereditary keeper of the Forest of the Little Cumray in 1453.1

Archibald Huntar of Hunterston1

     Archibald Huntar of Hunterston was the son of William Huntar of Arnele Huntar.2 He married Margaret Kerr, daughter of William Kerr.1 He died before 1487.1
     In 1456 he was infeft of Hunterston.1

John Huntar of Hunterston and of that Ilk1

     John Huntar of Hunterston and of that Ilk was the son of Archibald Huntar of Hunterston and Margaret Kerr.2 He married Margaret Cathcart, daughter of John Cathcart, 2nd Lord Cathcart.1 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.1
     He held the Island of Lamlash, or Holy Isle.1 In 1500 he added the great hall to Hunterston Castle.1 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.1

     He was the Minister between 1589 and 1618 at Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland.1

     Robert Huntar of Hunterston and of that Ilk was the son of John Huntar of Hunterston and of that Ilk and Margaret Cathcart.2 He married Janet Montgomerie, daughter of John Montgomerie of Giffen.1 He died circa 1546.1
     In 1527 he sold Holy Isle and Hill of Amlash estate to James Hamilton, Earl of Arran.1 In 1551 he reacquired Holy Isle.1
