John Henry Kennedy1

     John Henry Kennedy was born on 5 March 1859.1 He was the son of Robert Kennedy and Alice Elizabeth Gray.2 He married, firstly, Rose Parke, daughter of Maj.-Gen. H. Parke, in 1889.1 He married, secondly, Amy Elizabeth Orpen, daughter of Richard H. M. Orpen, on 16 January 1926.1 He died on 10 December 1928 at age 69.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 97th Regiment and 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.1

     Rose Parke was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. H. Parke.2 She married Colonel Henry Thornhill.1 She married John Henry Kennedy, son of Robert Kennedy and Alice Elizabeth Gray, in 1889.1 She died on 26 May 1924.1
      Her married name became Thornhill.1 From 1889, her married name became Kennedy.
