     Benjamin Connor Herbert was born on 8 February 1991.¹ He is the son of David Neil Herbert and Elizabeth Diane Tucker.²

     Major Robert Gray Kennedy was born on 27 March 1867.¹ He was the son of Robert Kennedy and Alice Elizabeth Gray.² He married Jane Nicholson, daughter of John Nicholson, on 14 February 1899.¹ He died on 15 October 1910 at age 43.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Lancashire Fusiliers.¹

     Jane Nicholson is the daughter of John Nicholson.² She married Major Robert Gray Kennedy, son of Robert Kennedy and Alice Elizabeth Gray, on 14 February 1899.¹
