     Sir Gilbert King, 1st Bt. was born in 1746.1 He was the son of Gilbert King and Anne Parke.2 He married Jane King, daughter of John King.1 He died on 8 August 1818, without issue.1
      To his bros John and Robert by primogeniture and their heirs male.1 In default of his own male issue.1 He was Captain 5th Royal Irish Regiment Dragoons.1 He lived Charlestown.1 With special remainder.1 On 21 July 1815 so created.1 He was created 1st Baronet King [U.K.] on 21 July 1815.1
