     Ernest de Montesquiou Lacon was born on 1 May 1850.¹ He was the son of Edmund Henry Knowles Lacon and Eliza Georgina Hammet.² He married Charlotte Amelia Marcon, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Marcon, on 6 July 1876.¹ He died on 31 May 1936 at age 86.¹
     He graduated with a Caius College Cambridge Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He was Mayor Gt Yarmouth , Captain 3rd Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry in 1897.¹
