     Major Sidney John Boileau Lacon was born on 23 August 1889 at Ormesby St. Margaret, Norfolk, England.1,2 He was the son of Henry Sidney Hammet Lacon and Anna Boileau.3 He married Doris Lilian Gibson, daughter of Charles Sidney Gibson and Mary White, on 7 June 1912 at Kensington, London, England.1,2 He died on 12 April 1918 at age 28, killed in action.2
     He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3d Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the Warwickshire Regiment and Royal Army Service Corps.1
