     Commander Alexander David Boyle was born on 3 November 1887.1 He was the son of Alexander Boyle and Fanny Studholme.1 He died on 31 January 1965 at age 77, unmarried.1
     Commander Alexander David Boyle gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was decorated with the Croix de Guerre.1
