     Henrietta Isabella Simpson was the daughter of Reverend Francis Simpson.² She married Digby Charles Legard, son of Digby Legard and Frances Creyke, on 6 October 1846.¹ She died in 1897.¹
      Her married name became Legard.

     Digby Charles Legard was born on 1 July 1851.¹ He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Henrietta Isabella Simpson.² He married Eleanor Clementina Bruce, daughter of Reverend David Bruce, on 19 August 1880.¹ He died on 16 February 1924 at age 72, with another son and two daughters (died young):.¹

     Eleanor Clementina Bruce was the daughter of Reverend David Bruce.² She married Digby Charles Legard, son of Digby Charles Legard and Henrietta Isabella Simpson, on 19 August 1880.¹ She died on 13 April 1835.¹
      Canon Durham.¹ Her married name became Legard.

     George Bruce Legard was born on 7 March 1885.¹ He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce.²
     He was Captain Royal W Kent Regiment WW I (despatches).¹ On 27 October 1914 killed in action.¹

     Charles Legard was born on 9 June 1887.¹ He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce.² He married Ethel Gertrude Marriott, daughter of Reverend George Strickland Marriott, on 23 July 1918.¹ He died on 15 August 1976 at age 89.¹
     He was Captain Lincolnshire Regiment and Aide-de-Camp Personal Staff WW I, Rector Burghclere with Newtown –1958 Berks 1937.¹ He was educated Cheltenham and New College Oxford.¹ Rev.¹ He was Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.¹

     Ethel Gertrude Marriott was the daughter of Reverend George Strickland Marriott.² She married Charles Legard, son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce, on 23 July 1918.¹ She died on 25 August 1973.¹
      Her married name became Legard.

     (George) Hugo Digby Legard was born on 26 February 1920.¹ He was the son of Charles Legard and Ethel Gertrude Marriott.² He married Eve Lilian Howard, daughter of Captain Francis Howard, on 30 March 1944.¹ He died on 17 June 1966 at age 46.¹
     He was Lieutenant-Commander Royal Navy WW II.¹ He was educated RNC Dartmouth.¹ He was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.¹ He lived in 2003 at 7 Bells Lane, Tenterden, Kent, England.¹
