     Sir Rainald Gilfrid Lewthwaite, 4th Bt. was born on 21 July 1913.1 He was the son of William Lewthwaite and Beryl Mary Stopford.2 He married Margaret Elizabeth Edmonds, daughter of Harry Edmonds, on 3 January 1936.1 He died on 15 April 2003 at age 89.1
     He was also known as 4th Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].1 He graduated in 1934 with a Rugby and Trin College Cambridge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) ).1 He was Military Cross (M.C.) in 1943.1 He was WW II: Brigadier Scots Gds, commander 1st Battalion (wounded, in 1945.1 He was Jt Servs Mission Washington , Actg Sec (Mil) Cabinet Office 1953–65, SHAPE Paris 1955–58, GSO(1) DCIGS Co-Ord War Office 1958, Colonel NATO HQ Paris 1960, Def and Mil Attaché Paris 1964–68, Dir Protocol Hong Kong 1969–76 in 1950.1 He was Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1974.1 He was Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1975.1
