     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clapham between 1959 and 1964.1 He was decorated with the award of the Emergency Reserve Decoration (E.R.D.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Windsor and Maidenhead between 1970 and 1992.1
