     Lt.-Col. Francis Douglas Grey was born on 11 April 1828.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Edward Grey and Elizabeth Adair.2 He married Sarah Mowatt, daughter of Francis Mowatt, on 10 August 1854.1 He died on 4 November 1901 at age 73.
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 37th Regiment.1

     Lt.-Col. William Mure of Caldwell was born on 9 May 1830.2 He was the son of Colonel William Mure of Caldwell and Laura Markham.3 He married Hon. Constance Elizabeth Wyndham, daughter of George Wyndham, 1st Baron Leconfield of Leconfield and Mary Fanny Blunt, on 28 April 1859.1 He died on 9 November 1880 at age 50.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Scots Guards.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)4 He lived at Caldwell, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.4
