     Francis Douglas Grey was born on 11 April 1828. He was the son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Edward Grey and Elizabeth Adair. He married Sarah Mowatt, daughter of Francis Mowatt, on 10 August 1854. He died on 4 November 1901 at age 73.

     Sarah Mowatt was the daughter of Francis Mowatt. She married Francis Douglas Grey, son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Edward Grey and Elizabeth Adair, on 10 August 1854. She died on 8 August 1901.

     Lt.-Col. William Mure was the son of Colonel William Mure and Laura Markham.2 He married Hon. Constance Elizabeth Wyndham, daughter of George Wyndham, 1st Baron Leconfield and Mary Fanny Blunt, on 26 April 1859. He died on 9 November 1880.
     Lt.-Col. William Mure gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.).1 He lived at Caldwell, Ayrshire, Scotland.1

     Caroline Jarvis was born on 18 December 1935.1 She is the daughter of Colonel Ralph George Edward Jarvis and Antonia Mary Hilda Meade.2 She married Dr. Gathorne Gathorne-Hardy, 5th Earl of Cranbrook, son of John David Gathorne-Hardy, 4th Earl of Cranbrook and Fidelity Seebohm, on 9 May 1968.1
     From 9 May 1968, her married name became Gathorne-Hardy. As a result of her marriage, Caroline Jarvis was styled as Countess of Cranbrook on 22 November 1978.
