     Archibald Robert Hewitt, 6th Viscount Lifford was born on 14 January 1844.1 He was the son of James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford and Lady Mary Acheson.2 He married Helen Blanche Geach, daughter of Charles S. Geach, on 5 December 1878.1 He died on 22 May 1925 at age 81.1
     He was commissioned in 1858, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He retired from the military in 1890, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Lifford of Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1768] on 20 March 1913.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1781] on 20 March 1913.1

     Helen Blanche Geach was the daughter of Charles S. Geach.2 She married Archibald Robert Hewitt, 6th Viscount Lifford, son of James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford and Lady Mary Acheson, on 5 December 1878.1 She died on 4 June 1942.1
     From 5 December 1878, her married name became Hewitt. After her marriage, Helen Blanche Geach was styled as Viscountess Lifford on 20 March 1913.

     Lt.-Col. Evelyn James Hewitt, 7th Viscount Lifford was born on 18 December 1880.1 He was the son of Archibald Robert Hewitt, 6th Viscount Lifford and Helen Blanche Geach.2 He married Charlotte Rankin Maule, daughter of Sir Robert Maule, on 8 July 1919.1 He died on 5 April 1954 at age 73, without issue.1
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He fought in the Boer War in 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916 and bar (1918.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Dorset Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Lifford of Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1768] on 22 May 1925.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1781] on 22 May 1925.1
